The Alcantarilla Air Base, formerly called the Alcantarilla Military Aerodrome, is an air base of the Spanish Air and Space Army located on land in the Murcian district of Sangonera la Seca. However, it is called Alcantarilla since this is the head of the nearest municipal.

Inside you will find:

• The "Méndez Parada" Military Parachuting School

• The Parachute Sapper Squadron of the Air and Space Army (EZAPAC): elite unit of the Air and Space Army, responsible for the execution of special air operations, both combat and combat support.

• The Parachuting Acrobatic Patrol of the Air and Space Army (PAPEAE).

• The 721 Squadron of the Air and Space Army: formed by CASA C-212 Aviocar aircraft and dedicated to short-range training and transport missions, as a complement to the parachuting school, EZAPAC and PAPEA, and also as support to the Navy, the Army and the Civil Guard in their training plans and in the execution of their exercises.
